Canvas Grade Calculator is operated as an independent website at canvasgradecalculator.net. This policy explains what the site collects, what it does not, and the choices you have. The short version: the grades you type never leave your device, but the site does use analytics and plans to show ads, and those involve cookies.
Your grades stay in your browser
Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. The scores, weights, and targets you enter are processed on your own device and saved in your browser's local storage so your course is still there next time. They are never sent to us, to our servers, or to any third party, and we cannot see them. Clearing your browser data — or using the Reset button in the calculator — removes them permanently.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 and Ahrefs Analytics to understand aggregate traffic — which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and which devices they use. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data such as your IP address, browser, and the pages you view. Ahrefs Analytics is cookieless. Neither ever receives the grades you enter.
You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites with Google's opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
Advertising
We intend to display ads on this site through Google AdSense. When ads are enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Feedback you choose to send
If you use the feedback widget, we store what you submit: your message, the optional star rating, the page you sent it from, your browser's user-agent string, your site language, and — only if you choose to type it — your email address. This is stored in our database so we can read the feedback and reply if you asked us to. Email is optional; leave it blank and we have no way to identify you. We do not sell this data or use it for marketing.
Local storage
To save your course between visits, we store your inputs in your browser's local storage. This is not a cookie, is never transmitted, and you can clear it at any time with the Reset button in the calculator or by clearing your browser data.
Children's privacy
This site is a general-audience study tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics with the add-on linked above, and opt out of personalized ads through Google Ads Settings. The calculators themselves work fully with cookies blocked — only local storage is needed to remember your course.

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
